Decision making is a critical skill that deserves our attention.  When God has quickened our spirit and we join Him in an intimate and personal relationship, He gives us new life.  In this new life, we are finally capable of making decisions which can be pleasing to Him.

So what is the process of making decisions about your future career?  To start with, you have to have a frame of reference for creating a decision model.  I often talk about "sticking a flag in the ground!"  If we don't have a sense of direction in which we want to travel, it becomes impossible to actually make a decision.  When we make a decision, it will either move us toward our flag, or it will move us away from our flag.  There is a third option to come from the decision matrix, and that is to move our flag to a new location.  Without having planted a flag out there, someplace, we cannot really make decisions.
