Jesus was a tekton!

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.  Mark 6:3
From Strong's Dictionary -

G5045  τέκτων (tektōn)
From the base of G5098; an artificer (as producer of fabrics), that is, (specifically) a craftsman in wood: - carpenter.

Jesus was known by the crowd for his marketplace vocation.  We often think of Him as a handyman.  In reality, he ran a business that supported a family of at least 8, he scheduled work, ordered inventory, oversaw and participated in production and, I am sure, handled customer complaints.  He fulfilled this vocation to which He was called up to His consecration into His earthly ministry by his cousin, John, at age 30 (the age at which priests were consecrated to serve Israel).  Even after entering into his season as a Rabbi, He was in the Temple and the Synagogues at the appointed times, but spent the rest of his time ministering in the marketplace.  If this was His practice, should we not model our Faith&Work Life after His?
